Guest access to Disney Resorts Collection Hotels
Reconnecting with family and friends when you’re vacationing at Disney can really be an awesome experience. Once you tell them you’re coming they’re probably asking themselves “can you visit someone staying at a Disney resort?”
The good news is yes, you can visit your friends and family who are staying at a Disney resort.
Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are allowed to receive visitors during their vacation, there are just a few things to keep in mind in order to make the reunion happen.
Both the resort guest and the visitor should follow a couple steps to make sure that everything goes smoothly, the security concerns for Disney are addressed, and there’s a good plan for all involved so that you can make the most of the occasion!
Before arriving, send your visitor the resort’s address and location of where you’ll be meeting up so that they know where to go and what to expect when they arrive.
When your visitor arrives at the Resort Security gate, they must be approved for entry by a Cast Member in order for access to the resort. Don’t worry – it’s not too crazy. Just keep in mind that Disney is very serious about guarding their guests’ safety and security and privacy.
The security Cast Member may ask for confirmation information or other information in order to validate the reason for gaining entry into the resort. Once that’s done and the guest has been approved, your visitor will be able to enter and connect with you so you can start the celebration together!
The check-in process is an important part of maintaining a safe and secure environment within the resorts and must be done each time visitors wish to enter. By following these procedures carefully, guests can ensure that their safety as well as that of their visitors is not compromised and enjoy their visit with peace of mind.
Dining and amenities for visitors
If you’re inviting a visitor to the Walt Disney World Resort and they want to join you for a meal, they will need prior confirmed dining reservation information in order to enter the resort. Guest’s of any of the resorts are typically given access to the resort’s swimming pools, so if you’re staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort your visitor is able to take a dip with you in their famous Lava Pool.
Whether you plan on lounging by the resort pool or taking an afternoon swim, visitors and guests alike can enjoy some time together at the WDW resorts. The pool areas are all amazing and offer abundant seating areas, game areas, and restaurants/bars and more that make a pool day with visiting friends a magical experience.
The acceptance of visitors is generally what makes WDW such a premier location – as there are multiple places available within different resort locations that all offer something unique while visiting. From exotic plant galleries at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to athletic clubs and therapeutic spas located within various locations on property, your guest will be spoiled for choice in terms of where they’d like to visit when with you during your stay at Disney World.
Transportation and exploring other Disney Resorts
Even if you’re not staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts, you can still enjoy their convenient transportation system. This is ideal for visitors who are visiting or staying off-property but would still like to explore all that Walt Disney World has to offer with you.
We’ve had visits where we just went to Ohana at the Polynesian Resort for lunch, wanted to ride the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and explore a little.
Exploring various resorts is a wonderful way to get a sense of what the property has to offer and discover which one might be best suited for your next trip.
Along the way, you can to experience different themed hotels and amenities and take in the beautiful scenery the Disney goes so far to make magical.
When it comes to exploring don’t leave Disney Springs off your list. On your adventure you can also learn about upcoming events and make a plan your evening entertainment with ease if you’re planning on sticking around. And of course, there are always plenty of unique shops, restaurants, and attractions along the way that you won’t want to miss out on.
No matter where your visitor is staying, they’re sure to have an unforgettable time exploring all that Walt Disney World has to offer through its reliable transportation system.
Visiting family members & friends
When staying at a Disney resort, it’s common for local family members or friends to want to come and visit you, and that’s not a problem! To gain entry to the resort, they must show a valid photo ID and provide their name or room number at the security gate. Those who are admitted won’t need to worry about paying for parking.
The maximum number of invited visitors per guest is limited by your room capacity, so you need to check about the limitations with your room at your resort if your guests are visiting for a substantial amount of time and prior to hosting visitors at a Disney Resort during their stay.
Having family members come for a visit can add an extra layer of fun and excitement to your vacation, so it’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking for ways to make your stay more enjoyable.
Can you have an overnight guest in a Disney Resort hotel?
When planning a trip to Walt Disney World, it’s important to keep in mind that Disney is strict about security and safety concerns. This means that you’ll need to make sure that your room will accommodate an additional guest if you plan on hosting additional visitors during your stay. If your room can accommodate an additional guest, simply let the front desk know and they will take care of everything for you.
If you already know who will be joining you, it’s best to just go ahead and add them to your reservation so that they can enjoy all of the perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel too. This can be a great way to create magical memories with friends and family while on vacation.
However, it’s worth noting that if you have a Disney Resort Hotel Package with additional extras like a Disney Dining Plan booked, the process of adding an additional guest may be a little more complicated.
In this case, it’s best to call a Cast Member and ask about how they would like to handle an additional guest for one night. They will be able to provide you with the information and guidance you need to make sure everyone has a magical time during your stay at Walt Disney World.
