The virtually endless shopping and dining options that you can find at Disney Springs ensures that there’s truly something for everyone.

And while not everyone enjoys the walking associated with a Disney vacation, there are those that really do, and the idea of walking to or from Disney Springs to visit the parks is a tantalizing idea.

For those who really enjoy being outside and walking a big question they have is, “What park is Disney Springs closest to?”

Of all the parks in the Walt Disney World Resort, the one that is closest to Disney Springs is the water park, Typhoon Lagoon which is literally across the street. Of the main parks, EPCOT is the closest at 3.8 miles away from the Orange Parking Garage at the West End of Disney Springs to the front gate.

However, just because it seems those might not be too far for an ambitious walker to handle, the Walt Disney World Resort isn’t all that pedestrian friendly and has no sidewalks or paths in many (but not all) places so walking isn’t a good idea.

In this post, we’ll take a look at the proximity of Disney Springs to the various theme parks, as well as transportation options and nearby resorts.

Typhoon Lagoon is right across the street from Disney Springs

Disney Springs and proximity to the theme parks

Exploring Disney Springs can be an incredible experience even if you aren’t planning on renting a car.

That’s a huge amount of space!

The Typhoon Lagoon water park is directly adjacent to the Disney Springs complex, literally across the street.

The Magic Kingdom is 5.7 miles away from the Orange Parking Garage to the Transportation & Ticket Center.

These are all estimated driving distances. If you’re taking one of the Disney busses the distances will vary because the busses can go into places that cars cannot go, and take routes that cars cannot take.

These distances also include only those routes which stay on Disney property throughout. That way you can avoid having to leave Disney property and deal with the utter madness that is Interstate 4.

Transportation Options

Traveling to Disney theme parks from Disney Springs can be a bit complicated, as it is not possible to take a bus directly from there to any of the parks. Instead, guests must first take a bus or boat to one of the resort hotels and then transfer onto a theme park bus. Although this adds some extra travel time, Disney’s transportation system is typically efficient and reliable, although not the fastest way to get around!

For those who are short on time or don’t want to deal with the hassle of transferring buses, there are alternate methods available for getting directly to the theme parks from Disney Springs. Those options include driving your own car or utilizing ride-share services like Minnie Vans from Lyft, or even a taxi.

Is anything within walking distance of Disney Springs?

Even though the theme parks and the rest of the main guest areas of the Walt Disney World Resort aren’t practical to walk to, the good news is that there are several hotels and resorts that are within walking distance of Disney Springs, and that may help make your decision when it comes to where you decide to book your stay.

Here are 8 different properties you can walk to (or from) from Disney Springs.
