Do you have a furry friend that you’ve been wanting to take on your trip to Disney World? You may have heard that dogs are allowed around Disney Springs, but is this true?
No, dogs are not allowed at Disney Springs unless they’re service dogs.
We’ve got 3 dogs and would love to be able to bring them on a trip with us to Disney, however, dogs aren’t allowed unless they’re service dogs.
Since dogs, other than service dogs aren’t allowed at Disney Springs are they allowed anywhere on property?
Are there any resorts where you can keep your dog?
Are there any pet care options?
Keep reading to find the answers to these questions and more.
The Policy on pets at Disney Springs
At Disney Springs, the official policy is that only service dogs are allowed. This policy is in place for the safety and comfort of all guests. The entire complex can get very crowded and with the food service areas and open formats. It’s more of an outdoor mall than anything else.
While it may be disappointing for pet owners to not be able to bring their dogs to Disney Springs, there are options available for pet care during your visit.
But you have to think about this too:
Disney Springs is so busy during its operating hours, would you really want to subject your pooch to all the craziness and hectic energy that would come with a trip to Disney Springs? I know I wouldn’t.
We’ve got 3 different dogs – a mini long-haired dachshund, a 70 pound basset hound, and an 70 pound pit mix – small medium and large.
And I would not personally want to submit any of them to the craziness that is the crowds at Disney Springs.
Options for pet care
All that said, that doesn’t mean you cannot bring your dog at all to Disney Springs. You really wouldn’t want to anyway, like I mentioned.
So what do you?
There are boarding options available on property that can do a great job of taking care of your fur baby while you’re enjoying Disney Springs or the theme parks.
Disney’s Best Friends Pet Care is an ideal option for pet care while you’re on property. Not only will your furry friends be well taken care of, but they will also have the time of their lives! You can rest assured knowing that your pets are being looked after with the utmost care and attention.
The world-class resort includes 17,000 square feet of air-conditioned indoor area, 10,000 square feet of covered outdoor runs and play areas, and a large 25,000 square foot dog park.
As well as plenty of opportunities for both exercise and relaxation, veterinary technicians and staff are always onsite offering specialized loving care ranging from personal walks and playtime to necessary medication administrations.
Currently, dogs are the only pets allowed in the accommodations, with a maximum of two dogs per guest room.
While certain floors or sections of these hotels are designated as pet-friendly zones, the majority of other areas remain off-limits to canines in order to protect guests who may suffer from allergies.
Additionally, outside service animals excluded, no dogs are permitted in theme parks, water parks or common areas such as restaurants, pools and recreational spaces.
