Hair Dryers in Walt Disney World Resorts

As someone who has stayed in a variety of different Walt Disney World Resorts, I can assure you that hair dryers are definitely a standard feature in all of them. Whether you’re staying in a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort hotel, or a Deluxe Villa, you can expect to find a hair dryer in your room. This means that you don’t need to worry about packing one yourself, freeing up valuable space in your suitcase for other things.

I’ve been to Disney World several times now, and I can’t remember a single instance where my wife needed to use her own hair dryer. The ones provided in the resorts are more than adequate for drying your hair, and in her experience, they are just as powerful as the one I have at home. So, if you’re someone who usually packs a hair dryer, I would recommend leaving it at home and saving yourself the hassle of lugging it around.

Toiletries in Walt Disney World Resorts

Walt Disney World Resorts provide guests with a range of basic toiletries including soap, shampoo, and body wash. The Disney branded H2O products are really good and you can even purchase larger quantities of these items at the gift store in your hotel. My daughter has been collecting these samples since she was little – she absolutely loves them.

This eliminates the need to bring these from home, freeing up additional space in your suitcase. While you might prefer to use certain products or fragrances, for many people the toiletries supplied at the resorts are more than sufficient for their needs.

Souvenirs and Larger Toiletries

One of the best things about not having to pack a hair dryer and basic toiletries is that it leaves more room in your suitcase for souvenirs. Disney World is full of amazing shops and kiosks selling all sorts of merchandise, from clothing to toys to kitchenware. If you’re planning on buying a few souvenirs, you’ll definitely want to make sure you have enough room in your suitcase to bring them home.

Another thing to keep in mind is that larger versions of the basic toiletries provided in the resorts can be purchased in the resort’s gift shop or online after your trip. So if you find that you really like the soap or shampoo provided in your room, you can always buy a larger version to take home with you. My personal favorite is the Bath Aquatics line, which I have purchased several times when at Walt Disney World Resort.

If the ones provided in the room aren’t quite your style, but you don’t want to pack anything, there are several places in Disney Springs where you can pick up high-quality items at places like Basin (one of my wife’s personal favorites).

The gift shops also have an assortment of items that you need if you run out or forgot something that’s not provided.

What other amenities are provided in the guest rooms?

So not only are hair dryers provided, but there are several other amenities that are provided in guest rooms too. When staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can expect to find a variety of amenities in your guest room to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Here are a few of the amenities that you can expect to find in your room:

Iron and Ironing Board

Ironing your clothes before heading out for the day can be a great way to ensure that you look your best. Most guest rooms at Disney World Resorts come equipped with an iron and ironing board, so you can press your clothes and look sharp for your day of adventure.

Coffee Maker

Starting your day off with a fresh cup of coffee is a great way to get your energy levels up before you head out to explore the parks. Most guest rooms at Disney World Resorts come with a coffee maker, so you can brew your own cup of coffee right in your room. Learn more about coffee makers and options here.

Mini Fridge

It’s really convenient to have a mini fridge in the room, particularly if you’re traveling with kids or if you’re planning on buying snacks or drinks in the park and storing them in your room. This way you can have a cold drink or a snack before you head out to the parks, and you won’t have to spend money on buying them in the park.

In-Room Safe or Security Box

Safety is always a top priority when you’re traveling, and Disney World Resorts understand that. That’s why most guest rooms come equipped with an in-room safe or security box where you can store your valuables while you’re out exploring the parks. This will give you peace of mind knowing that your valuables are safe and secure.
